ST's Intro:
Us old futs should feel a lot
better knowing young people, such as WreckinEyez, will be running the
world.
Heck, he's already running a small part of it.
Check out what a full life he ahready has led:
I was adopted by my
grandparents when I first came into this world. Being their first
grandchild, they decided that they would raise me. I was always a
driven leader and I owe it to them for the old fashion values that were
instilled in me which made me mature and stand out early on. From my
grandfather, who I will always refer to as my “dad," I had become
skilled in many things that most people in my generation don’t know.
I am one of the younger bloggers here but according to Bulla, I didn’t
look it. Graduating from Campbell High School c/o 1999 (when we had
working stadium lights), I already had been involved with a lot of
things. While in high school alone I was a voting member sitting on 3
community boards in the area and was charged with many events such as
community park holiday events, district dances and shows, outer island
education retreats for teens and at risk youths, new business grand
opening festivities, and the best haunted house the island has ever
seen. I had never thought the responsibilities I was given would ever
go to someone at my age at that time but my adult peers felt that I
could. I had played football for Campbell only for a little while (DE
Baby!!! Shout out to the beast) sadly due to my many responsibilities
in the community already, my plate was too full and thus I left the
team.
Right out of high school, I had started playing music regularly.
Apparently I was a funny guy that held nothing back so people asked if
I could MC their events. I was doing the MC thing as much as I was a
musician, doing weddings, grand openings, and even grad parties (who
the heck hires an MC for their grad party?!?). I had traveled all over
being a musician and a Master of Ceremonies going to Hilo, Kauai,
Disney Land, and Japan. The time I had to myself was little to none due
to the heavy work load so I started asking other groups to play. After
a while I was in a management position for six bands at one time. I
then moved on to taking club contracts and just booking their monthly
event sand shows for them. Life was busy but it all stopped one day…
My dad had passed, and when he was gone I went into a hole. I decided
to go back to school and get a college degree like my father had wanted
me to do before. I went to Heald and was scared but I took college on.
My advance knowledge of event planning and leadership skills prior to
enrolling helped me stand out. In my 18 months there I had changed the
college with major events that I spearheaded including
concerts/cultural fairs, basketball tournament for Leyte survivors, and
a private charter midnight cruise aboard the Ali’I Kai out side of
Waikiki with two floors of entertainment. The day I had graduated I had
got called on to the stage to accept a special award that was made just
for me.
Now I am working with a non-profit apart of the judiciary. Doing what I
love to do Marketing, Event planning, Public Relations, and just being
me. My SN “WreckinEyez” is actually my current band’s name made up by
our talented drummer. I was always a Warrior fan and even though I
can’t go as way back as some of the people here, I like to dream what
they had felt at the old stadium. One day when future cyborg Tsai does
the blog, I could be one of the elders saying “ before our enriched
titanium sporting arena, we first had the termite palace and then the
rust castle. I….”… …. …. Am glad to be a Tsaiko and I cheer every time
they mention us on the radio or see us on the TV.
Go Warriors!
