The Tsai-kos, lurkers, and friends converge in Las Vegas.
Plans and preparations were made:
- Rich2176 purchased 100 tickets for Tsai-kos
- las vegas arranged Makino Eastern Henderson (Japanese buffet) for Tsaiko-gate. Minimum 91 attended.
- las vegas arranged two buses for transport to and from the stadium and Makino's.
- Addahknowjoe produced the "Tsaiko" and "Colt for Heisman" signs for the stadium per Rich2176 specs.

The Tsai-kos, lurkers, and friends converge in Las Vegas for the second time under the Tsai-ko banner.
Plans and preparations were made:
- Rich2176 purchased over 215 tickets for Tsai-kos
- las vegas arranged
a Friday night National Tsai-ko dinner and Karaoke Call at Kiku Hana
(Hooters plans fell through).
- las vegas arranged
CiCi's Pizza buffet for Tsaiko-gate.
- las vegas arranged mini-buses for transport to and from the stadium and CiCi's.

December 24, 1959 – December 5, 2011
John passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada after suffering a stroke. A month after hosting Tsaiko-Vegas 2011, he placed 2nd in the Las Vegas Aki-Matsuri Festival karaoke contest (1st place won by Chudi Amazaki).
On Sunday, December 11, 2011, a closed memorial gathering was held at Sato-ya with all his Japanese Association and karaoke friends in Las Vegas. 702WarriorFan represented the Tsai-kos.
Delays in cremation and obtaining John's ashes forced the family to cancel their tentative flights to Hawaii due to holiday season limited seats. Kumi decided to return to Hawaii with John's ashes in January 2012.
A Celebration of Life gathering and Karaoke Call was arranged by Kumi on January 20, 2012 at Club Genji in Honolulu.
His ashes are at rest in Honpa Hongwanji on Pali Highway.
